Nick Prescot

Nick Prescot. Founder / Lead CISO

Nick is the founding lead consultant at CyberKainos, and brings over 15 years of cybersecurity experience to the business. His path into cyber began while serving in the British Army, where he developed a keen appreciation for operational discipline and strategic thinking. He has since worked with countless teams as a Principal Security and Senior GRC Consultant, delivering cyber security assessments, analysis, reviews and remediation / improvement strategies for clients around the world, from emerging start-ups to FTSE 100.

At CyberKainos, Nick oversees all aspects of the company to ensure that each client engagement exceeds expectations. He advises on cyber strategy, tactics, and operations to help our clients strengthen their information security programs and bolster overall resilience. As an interim CISO and ‘vCISO’, he has led and managed cyber security teams, and has extensive experience within  FCA / PRA regulated entities, e-commerce retailers, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

Sachin Patel. Senior CISO

Sachin is a skilled cyber security leader with 20 years’ experience in technology, Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), vCISO services, and enterprise security strategy. He has considerable experience leading security initiatives for large financial institutions, aligning programmes with ISO 27001 and other standards. His work has covered risk assessments, policy development, vulnerability management, and third-party risk oversight. As a trusted vCISO, he has delivered strategic roadmaps and senior stakeholder reporting, helping organisations enhance resilience and foster a strong, security-aware culture.

Mark Rennie. Head of Marketing

Mark worked with Nick for a number of years before joining CyberKainos. He had an extensive background in senior marketing and lead generation roles across automotive and retail, before focusing on cybersecurity in 2020. He oversees the CyberKainos’ marketing strategy, operations, brand development, communications, digital activities, website, and events.  

He doesn’t need an alarm clock thanks to his 3 and 6 year old girls, but when time allows you will find him either on the golf course, on a training run, watching the cricket (test matches not T20) or behind the sofa after trying to get through a Manchester United game.

Mike Hubbard. Head of Commercial

Mike brings over 25 years of experience in technology and cybersecurity sales to CyberKainos. With a career spanning global enterprises and high-growth startups, Mike is responsible for shaping and executing the company’s commercial strategy—driving go-to-market plans, building scalable sales operations, and forging strategic partnerships.

Before joining CyberKainos, Mike held senior commercial positions in both the vendor and consultancy areas of the industry, leading teams across defence, critical infrastructure, and cyber domains. He is also the founder of Exseed Advisory, where he supports early-stage cybersecurity startups with sales growth and GTM planning.

Mike is passionate about helping innovative cyber businesses scale and ensuring commercial strategy aligns with customer needs in a fast-moving threat landscape.
